The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians has reported a progressive payout of more than $440,000 was won on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine Sunday at its Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo.
The lucky winner from Washington chose to remain anonymous after the big victory Sunday on a $1.75 spin. It was the fourth six-figure payout on a progressive slots jackpot at a Four Winds property over the past four months and the second time in seven weeks someone hit the progressive jackpot playing Wheel of Fortune. A player from Mundelein, Illinois, netted a payday of nearly $400,000 on Aug. 3 playing the same game.
Sunday’s winner had the second largest of those four recent big jackpots, trailing the $507,331 won by another Illinois bettor who played Cash Wheel on June 25. Four Winds also had a winner from Paw Paw receive a $102,103 payout from Quick Hits Pro.
Following the payout, the Wheel of Fortune progressive jackpot was reset with a starting prize of $100,000. Four Winds also has properties in Hartford and Dowagiac and offers online casino gaming in Michigan, with over 170 slots and table games in addition to sports wagering.
